Why I’m Building a Community for PMs Who See AI Coming (and Want to Be Ready)

After more than 20 years in enterprise project management, I’m watching a familiar pattern repeat—only this time, the stakes are higher.

AI tools are everywhere. Project managers know they should probably be using them. But there’s a widening gap between knowing AI exists and actually integrating it into daily PM work in a way that’s safe, effective, and valuable.

Most PMs are trying to figure this out alone.

That’s the problem this community exists to solve.

What I’m Seeing Across Project Management

Over the past year, as I’ve gone deep into AI and modern project delivery, the same signals keep showing up:

  • PMs try ChatGPT a few times, get inconsistent results, and abandon it

  • Organizations provide no clear AI guidance, creating fear around compliance and misuse

  • Generic “AI content” doesn’t translate into real project management work

  • Everyone talks about AI transformation, but few show concrete PM applications

  • PMs feel pressure to “get on board” without a practical path forward

The reality is simple:

AI will not replace project managers. But project managers who know how to use AI effectively will outperform those who don’t.

Why Learning AI Alone Doesn’t Work

Yes, you can Google “AI for project managers.”

Yes, you can watch tutorials.

Yes, you can experiment on your own.

But that approach comes with real costs.

Time you don’t have. Most PMs are already overloaded. Learning AI in isolation competes with delivery work.

Wasted effort. Without context, you spend hours testing ideas that don’t apply to real PM scenarios.

Missed opportunities. While you’re figuring out basics, others are already using AI to gain leverage.

No validation. You don’t know whether you’re being effective—or creating risk you can’t see yet.

What I Wish Existed When I Started

When I began integrating AI into my own PM practice, I wasn’t looking for hype or theory. I wanted:

  • PM-specific use cases, not generic AI demos

  • Proven prompts I could adapt immediately

  • A place to ask questions without judgment

  • Other PMs to compare notes with on what actually works

  • Guidance from someone who understands both enterprise PM and AI

  • Ongoing learning as tools evolve—not a static course

That resource didn’t exist.

So I decided to build it.

The AI & Project Leadership Community

This is what I’m creating under the 4e Project Solutions umbrella.

What It Is

A practical, application-focused learning community where PMs build AI fluency through real work:

  • AI support for documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication

  • Risk and issue analysis using pattern recognition

  • Decision support and scenario evaluation

  • Knowledge capture without manual overhead

  • Prompt libraries you can use immediately

  • Shared learning from PMs applying AI in real environments

What It Is Not

  • Not a generic AI course with PM slapped on

  • Not a passive video library that goes stale

  • Not hype about AI replacing project managers

  • Not technical training on how models work

This is about using AI responsibly to reclaim strategic time.

Who This Is For (and Who It Isn’t)

This Community Makes Sense If You:

  • See AI changing project management and want to stay ahead

  • Prefer learning with peers instead of struggling alone

  • Value application over theory

  • Want to build skills proactively—not reactively

  • Are willing to experiment and refine how you work

This Probably Isn’t for You If You:

  • Are completely satisfied with current PM approaches

  • Prefer to wait and see how AI plays out

  • Want AI to “do the job for you”

  • Aren’t interested in community-based learning

Why I’m Doing This

Honestly? Because I see the gap—and I’m positioned to fill it.

I bring:

  • 20+ years in enterprise project management

  • PMP certification

  • Real experience building an AI-first PM education business

  • Deep alignment with PMBOK 8 and modern PMI expectations

But more importantly, I believe this:

PMs who build AI fluency now will have a meaningful professional advantage. Most just don’t have a clear, safe, practical way to do it.

This community provides that path.

What Comes Next

The AI & Project Leadership Community is launching soon with charter membership access.

Members will get:

  • PM-ready AI prompt libraries

  • A focused community of forward-thinking PMs

  • Ongoing updates as tools evolve

  • Direct access to my experience and frameworks

  • Resources that grow with the landscape

If you’re not ready to join yet, that’s fine.

I’ll also be releasing a free resources including informational and instructional videos on our YourTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyLuA4WhNOx4sVVHoO-UJEg

Final Thought

This isn’t about chasing trends.

It’s about protecting time, improving judgment, and staying relevant as the profession evolves.

AI won’t replace project managers. But it will redefine what effective project management looks like.

I’m building this community for PMs who see that coming—and want to be ready.
